"Johann Rudolf Schneider – A Moving History of a Visionary"
2004

Concept

Three permanent exhibitions presenting the history of water management engineering in the Jura region of Switzerland.

The first exhibition "From Marsh to Vegetable Garden" is chronological. A blue band illustrates the time line showing changes in the water level of the Aare river. Large flat glass panels have a double function as information carriers and display cases.
In the second exhibition an entire room is devoted to Johann Rudolf Schneider. Personal items are exhibited on four glass tables, with the appearance of water surface. On the walls written in tones of green is all the background information. When the button is pushed there is an audio relay of the sounds of a marsh.
